About the DVD
Contrary to the popular belief that all followers of Islam adhere only to Arab’s culture, Indian Muslims, who have been living in the subcontinent for over a thousand years, follow a variety of cultural traditions and languages that are deeply rooted in the local geography and history. From Qawwali to Naat, Meelad to Nauha, and Babul geet to Chahar Bait, this video compilation looks at a cross section of traditional cultural practices of Muslims spread all over India.
